There is a concept not everyone understands and that is that it takes more energy to heat your house than to power your house. Heating is a huge percentage of your power bill. Turning off lights with timers and such helps, but it doesn't help as much as getting a programmed thermostat and turning down the heat during the night or daytime hours (when you're at work). Affecting the heating side of your utility expense will have more of a greater effect on your power bill.

Likewise, adding an additional heat source to your home (such as a pellet stove, wood stove or multi-fuel stove) will allow you to use cheaper heat and stay warm for less money. Making a house insulated better will also help keep the fuel effort more efficient.

As fuel:

Premium wood pellets are made from a waste material, sawdust, not otherwise usable.

Premium wood pellets burn with almost no ash.

The EPA classes premium wood pellets as non-polluting.

Premium Wood Pellets have a heat content that classifies them as a high heat fuel.

Premium Wood Pellets are a new technology and they are rapidly gaining acceptance.

Warning: SOME MANUFACTURERS CHARGE OUTRAGEOUS SHIPPING - SOME DO NOT, remember to figure shipping into your cost comparisons.
